QUAD FOLD Card

SEPT CLASS QUAD CARD – Found on Instagram (creator unknown)

This card opens up to 4 segments, fits in a No. 10 Business Envelope, designed to stand up on display. It would be a great way to greet a friend in a nursing home or one that is home bound.

This card has space for 4-6 spaces of inspirational sentiments, photos, punch art or die cuts. You decide where you want to place them.

ONE Cardstock 8 ½” x 11”  plus ONE No.10 Business Envelope

Score at 5 ½” – in half on the 11” side. Score each half at 2 ¾” so there are 4 even segments.

TWO Doilies or circle pieces of paper that are at least 5 inches round

Layers (You can change these based on your design – make larger or smaller or add more to each segment).

Note that we normally use a ¼” border between layers.  I used more to showcase the DSP.

Cut FOUR – 2 ½ x 3 Designer Papers, prints

Cut ONE – 2 ½ x 4

Cut FOUR – 2 x 2 ½” White or Ivory

Cut ONE 2 x 3 ½” White or Ivory

Use Coordinating Ink

Use Coordinating Ribbons – 1 – 12” piece, 1 – 6” piece

Fold the circle doilies in half.  Glue to the lower cover at the fold – half on the front, half on the inside left. Do the same to the last section – glue to the lower right and over to the back.   These are the focus designs.  Add a few die cuts to the front doily section.

On my design, I used four spaces to add sentiments: Top front; top inside left, bottom inside right; top of 3rd section.  Add the signature on the back above the doily.

Fill in the open spaces with die cuts, stamped images, punched art as desired

This design will work well for any season or reason, so I’m looking forward to seeing your designs.
