DIY Background Design.

Use 1 - 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock to create your own designed backgrounds, for 4 card fronts.

Score at 5 1/2" on the 11" side, then turn and score at 4 1/2" on the 8 1/2" side. Now your piece is ready to create your own design.

Start by stamping on the score lines up and down and across to the edges. Then create a design across all white spaces or leave the white spaces as your design.

To color your design you could use water color pencils or Stampin' Write (water based) markers, or Water Color Pencils and a Blender Pen as shown here.

When you're satisfied with your design, cut it into 4 pieces on the score lines, then trim to fit a card front.
Add texture to your design by embossing it with the Subtle embossing folder or your favorite design.

Here are a few cards I've made with a fall theme.
Layer on a coordinating color card base and add a sentiment tag or leave the front blank to show every inch of your beautiful, original design!

You can choose one stamp or use assorted. You're the artist - go & create!

The products I used are retired embossing folders; plus
August 2022 Paper Pumpkin sunflower stamps, Stampin' Write markers, Pearlized Enamel Effects, available through December from the 2022 Jul - Dec Mini Catalog.
