To add another layer, cut it ¼” smaller than the first
layer.
Add any images, tags, die cuts, sentiments you desire to go
with your theme.
If your sentiment is attached to display over the fold,
first make sure that when the card is folded to fit in the envelope that the
sentiment tag fits.
2. Circle Corner Cards
This card
design uses both sides of the DSP (Designer Series Paper) which is double-sided
and color coordinated. This is an easy
layout to: use up DSP, or to put together many cards in a short time.
To assemble 10-20
cards, choose a color for your base card. Cut the 4 x 5 ¼” pieces. Cut the
corner circles. Cut sentiment tags. Cut die cuts. Stamp image and sentiment.
Cut ribbon. Assemble.
Use a 4 x 5 1/4”
piece of DSP to be mounted on an A2 base, 4 ¼” x 5 ½”, after the circles have been cut and added.
With a 1 ½”
round punch, line up the punch in one corner, and punch it out. Repeat on the opposite corner, on the angle. You may decide to use a 1" punch or a 2" punch, shown below. You'll have to decide based on two factors:
1) how much of the center space you want to put your image, sentiment tag or die cuts
2) how much of the design print of the circles you want to show
Use the reverse side of the cut out circles and put them back into the rectangle pieces. This will add some color and interest to your DSP top layer.
Add a stamped or embossed image, die cuts, a large sentiment tag, embellishments, ribbon to the center front of your card to complete it.
The peach card shows blue corners, and a ribbon tied across. You could add a sentiment tag.
